Will self-host stay free?
Yes — forever, MIT. We don't believe in feature-stripping the OSS to
push people to a paid tier. The cloud is ops-as-a-service, not a
different product.
What's the cloud going to cost on GA?
We're calibrating. Likely a per-seat tier for small teams and a
per-feedback tier for high-volume installs. Beta members will see
prices ahead of public launch and get a launch discount.
Can I migrate self-host → cloud (or back)?
Yes. pg_dump on one side, restore on the other —
same schema both sides. We'll publish a step-by-step migration
guide before cloud GA.
What about LLM costs?
Same model both sides: you bring your own OpenAI / Anthropic
key, costs are tracked in llm_calls, monthly
budget caps prevent surprises. The cloud may later offer a
managed LLM with usage billed inline, but BYO-key is the
default.
Do you offer support contracts for self-host?
Not at launch. We focus on shipping the product. Once cloud
is live we'll evaluate paid OSS support contracts for teams
that prefer to run their own infra.
Where is the cloud hosted?
EU (Frankfurt) on a managed Postgres + container platform.
SMTP via a transactional provider. DPA available on request
